A video of T-Sean indirectly telling people to go for Koffi Olomide and not Yo Maps

Zambian legendary singer – T-Sean writes on his Facebook page:

Have you noticed that every other afropop or afrobeats song these days sounds like it was recorded in a stadium full of fans?! 🀣 That’s right, it’s all about those choral/crowd vocals

But you know who’s been ahead of the game on this whole ‘Crowd Vocals’ thing? The Congolese! 😲 They’ve been slaying those choir-like backing vocals for ages, and they know how to mix it up like a boss!
and what’s even more impressive is that they can recreate that same effect live on stage!

Every Rhumba music fan will tell you that Rhumba is famous for its heavy use of backing vocals. It’s amazing how music trends keep borrowing from past works, just like fashion!

So, let’s give it up for Congolese music legends who have been rocking the crowd vocals long before it became cool! πŸ™ŒπŸ™
